Every A Series cylinder is built around the same principle: reduce what has to be serviced in the field. Lubed-for-life sealing, hard chrome plated rods, and studded rod ends are standard — not upgrades.

ANSI, NFPA, JIC Interchange

Dimensionally interchangeable with ANSI, NFPA, and JIC standard cylinders, so the A Series fits existing envelope drawings and mounting hardware.

Aluminum or Steel Tube

Aluminum tube is standard for weight savings; steel tube is available where impact resistance or heavier duty cycles demand it.

Lubed for Life

Factory-lubricated and sealed for the life of the cylinder — no relubrication schedule to manage in the field.

Studded Rod Ends

Rod ends are studded with 4 wrench flats for a secure, serviceable connection to the load without a separate coupling.

Hard Chrome Plated Rods

Piston rods are hard chrome plated and case hardened for wear resistance and long service life under heavy load.

Standard on every cataloged A Series cylinder. Lighter weight reduces load on mounting structures and simplifies handling during installation and maintenance, without giving up the 250 psi standard rating.

Steel Tube

Specified when the application calls for greater impact and abrasion resistance — high-cycle, high-shock, or rugged outdoor duty where an aluminum tube would wear faster than the rest of the cylinder.
